Alpine Adventures offers “exceptional” incentive group trip for Mazda New Zealand
Queenstown luxury private guiding company Alpine Adventures is taking the groups and incentive market by storm with its
unique and unforgettable back-country experiences receiving rave reviews.
Officially launched last year, the company offers luxurious and private back-country hiking and heli-trips in the summer
and private heli-ski and board tours in winter.
Owner Mark Dewsbery was asked to create the “ultimate incentive trip” for the executive team at Mazda New Zealand.
The exceptional experience included a stay at the award-winning Blanket Bay Lodge and so Mark arranged a
once-in-a-lifetime trip to Milford Sound the group would never forget.
“Mazda wanted to treat its Auckland-based team to an unforgettable day in Queenstown. We knew we could deliver something
extra special and so we arranged for helicopters to pick them up at Blanket Bay, where they were staying, and take them
for a jaw-dropping scenic flight to Milford Sound followed by a picnic lunch at Earnslaw Burn.”
“They were blown away. They loved the luxury of being picked up from their accommodation and whisked away for the
morning. They were in awe of the scenery and could not believe their eyes”, he said.

The Earnslaw Burn area is best known as one of the most dramatic locations featured in the blockbuster movie, ‘The
Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ and offers unrivalled scenery such as waterfalls and glaciers.

Mark Dewsbery has cultivated an encyclopaedic knowledge of New Zealand’s native flora and fauna during 26 years of
high-country farming and exploring the backcountry on foot and skis.
