Millbrook Resort hailed best New Zealand hotel by leading website Wotif.com
Queenstown’s Millbrook Resort continues to ride the wave of awards success notching up another best hotel in New Zealand title, this time from the world’s leading travel website Wotif.com.
Wotif analysed more than 180,000 New Zealand customer reviews to find the favourite places to stay in New Zealand’s top destinations.
Millbrook achieved an average guest score of 4.74 out of five based on 182 reviews, which also makes the resort the number one hotel in Queenstown as well as New Zealand.
Millbrook Resort head of operations Brian Howie said the team and owners were always “extremely proud” to accept accolades that recognised the company’s commitment to exceptional guest service.
“Millbrook is a stunning property set on 500 acres of beautiful grounds so it’s hard not to fall in love with the place. However it’s more than just being in a great location that makes Millbrook so special,” said Mr Howie.
“We consistently monitor and respond to guest feedback to ensure we always offer a world-class experience whether it’s the first or tenth stay with us.”
“We never sit back and think we’ve cracked it. We’re always looking at new ways to improve service levels and stay ahead of technology. Our discerning guests expect the best on all levels so we go out of our way to ensure we meet and exceed their expectations.”
“Based on guest feedback we recently upgraded our internet system and now offer free Wi-Fi across the resort which is a fantastic facility for our guests. We’ve also recently upgraded our golf cart fleet and installed state-of-the-art GPS systems in the carts to provide a more enjoyable and interactive golfing experience,” said Mr Howie.
“It’s our staff who make a guest’s stay so memorable. From the landscapers and green keepers who ensure Millbrook’s grounds look stunning year round, to the hotel reception and reservations team who greet you when you check-in. From the housekeepers who ensure our rooms are perfect for every guest to the restaurant, spa and health and fitness team, everyone plays a huge part in the guest experience.”
“To be named best hotel in New Zealand by a leading travel organisation such as wotif.com is a wonderful honour. We’ll continue our hard work and strive to be the best golf and lifestyle resort in Australasia and the world,” said Mr Howie.
Just some of the other awards Millbrook Resort has received in the last year are - Best Golf Resort in Australasia at the World Travel Awards for the third year running in 2014, Best Luxury Wellness Spa for Australasia & Oceania in the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2013, and No 1 Hotel in New Zealand Trip Advisor Travellers' Choice Awards in 2013 and 2014.
Millbrook also continues to receive unprecedented and world-wide praise as co-host of the NZ Open earlier this year. Set to co-host with The Hills again next year (March 12 to 15 2015), Millbrook Resort has become synonymous with world-class golf and five-star luxury.
Wotif.com Australia and New Zealand product director Donna Rodios said “it’s no surprise that Millbrook Resort has come out on top with reviewers”.
“It’s an iconic New Zealand property known for its dedication to service, luxurious facilities and stunning location,” Ms Rodios said.
“Some of the most popular words used to describe Millbrook Resort on guest reviews are testament to its high standards, with the likes of ‘outstanding location’, ‘immaculate’, ‘go the extra mile’ and ‘remarkable service’ making a regular appearance.”
