Marlborough Home & Garden Show - Providing Winter Inspiration & Bargains
Winter is here, which means it's time to hunker down and make your surroundings as comfortable and cosy as possible. Packed with products and services for the home, there's no better place to find inspiration or advice than at the Marlborough Home & Garden Show. Running for three days starting Friday 4th July, it's guaranteed to cater for all budgets and tastes.
From Friday through to Sunday, The Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000 will be bursting with fantastic show-only specials and the latest innovations in home improvements. Show organiser, Daniel Joll says, "Whether you're building, renovating or simply replacing accessories, it's the place to head for the latest ideas and information. Kitchens, heating, flooring, home automation, solar products and landscaping will all be on display - and that's just for starters. With over 110 exhibitors, the Show offers great variety and fantastic bargains, all in the one place."
Visitors also stand the chance to win a fabulous home package prize comprising HomeTech solar tubing and installation worth $3,000, OSIM massage equipment worth $2,000, a Teak & Rattan chaise longue worth $1,650, plus Resene vouchers worth $1,500. They need only provide their contact details on arrival to enter.
The Energy Saving Centre will be launching a new product line called 'Energy Smart Window Insulation'. Anyone can request a free, no obligation window assessment, where the team will suggest the best solution for their window and budget. For the three show days only, they will also be running a special on double glazing and window insulation.
Heat pumps and solar forms of water heating will also be on display. The team from Sunshine Solar have embraced the District Council's rates rebate scheme, by installing New Zealand's highest performing solar water heating system for local rate payers. Ratepayers pay no money up front and have nine years to pay it off. Hot water generally makes up about half of a household's power bill, so they will be explaining to show visitors how to join the scheme.
Verena Maeder from Solid Earth Adobe Buildings Ltd says, "I will be displaying beautiful earthen wall surfaces for new and existing homes, including earthen plasters and adobe brick feature walls that regulate indoor temperature and humidity. Just for show visitors, I will be offering a free 45 minute consultation for anyone who books a measure and quote for earthen plasters. There will also a prize draw for two people to attend one of my one-day pizza oven workshops for free. "
Show visitors will be treated to a whole range of clever ideas and show-only bargains. Free daily seminars by industry experts will also provide hot tips on the latest trends and ideas, covering landscaping, solar power, double glazing, health & building with earth. It's not just an event for adults either, there's fun for the whole family with the Resene Paint-a-Pot and Paint-a-Gnome Challenge on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. A food and beverage area will keep visitors refreshed and refuelled, and to make life even easier, there's also free parking.
