Guild congratulates Community Pharmacy of the Year winner
The Pharmacy Guild of New Zealand (the Guild) congratulates David Postlewaight, owner of David’s Pharmacy in Kamo, for winning the Community Pharmacy of the Year Award at the 2014 Pharmacy Awards.
Guild Chief Executive, Lee Hohaia, says “This was the second year running that David’s Pharmacy received this award and is a testament to the exceptional care and service that he and his team consistently deliver to their patients.
“The Guild also extends their congratulations to The Auckland City Pharmacy who was the runner up to this award.”
Customers of these top two pharmacies strongly agreed that their pharmacist is knowledgeable, their pharmacist helps them to understand how and when to take their medicine, and that it is easy to ask their pharmacist questions about their medicine. Customers also value the free, drop-in health service that their pharmacy provides.
Using the responses to the question: “How likely is it that you would recommend this pharmacy to a family member, friend or colleague?” a net promoter score was generated for each pharmacy. The net promoter score is a measure of customer loyalty. It can be as low as 100 or as high as +100. A net promoter score of +50 is considered excellent.
Mrs Hohaia says “Both the winner and the runner up in this category gained outstanding net promoter scores with David’s Pharmacy scoring +100 and The Auckland City Pharmacy scoring +96.
“Guild pharmacies were extremely well represented in the finalists this year which is a true reflection of the first-rate care our members are delivering to their communities.
“The Guild aspires to see the highest quality of health care for the patients of New Zealand being delivered through community pharmacy and this is apparent in the achievements that were celebrated at the Pharmacy Awards.
