Hard work and determination has paid off for a local resident and entrepreneur after he received an international award at the World Expo.
Wayne Strong, the owner of EmbroidMe East Tamaki, has won the President’s Award for 2014 at the EmbroidMe World Expo in Orlando, Florida, USA.
EmbroidMe is the world’s largest embroidery franchise, and this award is given to only the top performing stores worldwide.
“Winning this award is an amazing achievement for us because we were selected from a fantastic group of franchise owners with very extensive knowledge of the industry and who are really thriving in their own areas. Being recognised for our hard work is an honour,” says Strong.
“EmbroidMe came along at the point in our life when my wife and I were looking for an opportunity to own and build our own business after working in the accounting profession for more than 20 years,” says Strong.
Globally, EmbroidMe plans to open up to 75 new franchised showrooms through the remainder of 2014, reaching 500 locations worldwide by the end of 2016. For more information about EmbroidMe, please visit www.embroidme.com.
