New Toy Testers to be selected for The Warehouse

New Toy Testers to be selected for The Warehouse

To celebrate its annual Toy Sale this July, The Warehouse is scouting New Zealand to offer four lucky kids their dream job as official Toy Testers.

Winning applicants of the prestigious role will receive up to $200 worth of brand new toys each month as well as $8,000 cash for their family. The Toy Testers will play, assess and rate the toys they receive for The Warehouse’s toy buying team – a very important job, indeed!

Current Toy Testers, Casper (aged 10 from Porirua), Maya (aged 7 from Dunedin), Frances (aged 6 from Wellington) and Jahkeal (aged 8 from Auckland) have gained incredible toy testing experience since stepping into the roles last year.

As she prepares to hand the esteemed Toy Tester title over to one of the four new Toy Testers, Maya Satake said it’s a year she’ll always remember.

“It has been so much fun being a Toy Tester. Every month when the box of new toys arrives it feels like Christmas and I’ve been so lucky getting to test out the newest toys and say what I like and don’t like about them”.

“One of my favourite toys was an ice-cream parlour LEGO Friends set. LEGO is always fun to build and I love the Friends characters that come with it.”

The Toy Tester competition is open to children aged from 5 to 10 years and coincides with The Warehouse’s annual Toy Sale, which runs between 28 June and 15 July, and is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

To enter the competition to become a Toy Tester, entrants must spend $30 or more on anything advertised in the Toy Sale mailer (valid 28 June to 15 July) and upload a video to The Warehouse Facebook page explaining why they’d make a great Toy Tester.

See www.thewarehouse.co.nz/toytester for full competition details.
