New Zealand’s Veterinary Elite Return to Claudelands
Claudelands Conference and Exhibition Centre is pleased to welcome back the New Zealand Veterinary Association (NZVA) for their multi-disciplinary conferences: ‘Veterinary Health Matters - Well & Truly’ and the ‘New Zealand Milk Quality Conference’ from Monday June 16 to Friday June 20, 2014.
Based on their success of the 2011 and 2012 event in Hamilton, Operations Manager of the NZVA Leanne Fecser had no hesitation when it came to securing the venue for the huge bi-annual conferences which will host over 1100 delegates from New Zealand’s agricultural science, milk and food industries.
“In terms of venues within New Zealand, Claudelands feels almost purpose built for us,” says Fecser.
“With its centrality to our North Island delegates and the facilities available which we require for our conference to be a success, Claudelands fulfils our requirements both effectively and easily” she says.
The 2014 NZVA conferences will attract both national and international delegates with many staying a number of days in the Waikato region to enjoy a variety of social events planned in and around Hamilton.
The event itself will offer workshops in 10 special interest areas of expertise for professional development, featuring some of the latest sciences and innovations across multiple streams including both technical and non-technical topics.
In 2014 the conference will look at the health and wellbeing of the industry and its peers with particular focus on the wellness of people, business and animals.
“The management of antimicrobials within veterinary practice and also the rise of compassion fatigue are key areas of discussion and consideration of this year’s event,” says Fecser.
“We have a number of CEOs and Presidents of Veterinary Associations from around the world coming to our conference to hear the latest developments in these areas” she says.
Hamilton City’s Event Facilities Director of Business Development, Murray Jeffrey, is delighted to welcome back the New Zealand Veterinary Association and the New Zealand Milk Quality Conference to Claudelands Conference and Exhibition Centre for a third year.
“We’re really pleased to be able to work with the NZVA team again; it makes sense for the conference to be held here right in the heart of New Zealand’s most productive dairy and agricultural region.”
“We’re proud that Claudelands continues to prove itself as one of New Zealand’s most dynamic venues, helping to drive Hamilton and the Waikato region’s hospitality and tourism industries forward.”
