Chapman Tripp Announces Return to Central Christchurch

Chapman Tripp Announces Return to Central Christchurch Premises

6 June 2014

Chapman Tripp is pleased to announce that it has signed a lease in a new development in Christchurch’s CBD.

Chapman Tripp will be an anchor tenant in the new PwC Centre on the corner of Cashel Street and Cambridge Terrace, by the Bridge of Remembrance. The firm’s Christchurch office has been located in alternative premises in Blenheim Road since 2011.

Christchurch partner, Andrew Woods said: “We are excited about returning to the heart of the city. We’ve remained committed to this goal since leaving the centre in 2011 and believe that the rejuvenation of the CBD is an important step in the city’s recovery.

“Chapman Tripp has more than 15 years’ history in Christchurch. The new premises will be significantly larger than our former location, which emphasises how important this region is to the firm.

“We chose this building for its true central location, engineering and specifications of the highest quality, and the architectural merit of the design. We have worked closely with fellow anchor tenant PwC and the company managing the development, Armitage Williams, to refine and customise the plans to meet the needs of our staff and clients.”

The developer has scheduled occupancy for early to mid-2016.
