Property Group has new head

Property Group has new head.
Experienced investor Terry le Grove is the new President of the NZ Property Investors’ Federation (NZPIF).
“The NZPIF is committed to ensuring that residential property investors throughout New Zealand are properly represented”, he said when elected President. “Housing is a critical issue and private landlords are providing homes for New Zealanders when they cannot, or do not, want to buy their own homes. It is well documented that Housing NZ is unable to fully meet the current demand for rental properties.”
A survey of members in April this year showed that more than 29,000 tenancies are owned by members of Associations affiliated to the NZPIF.
“This is more than seven billion dollars’ worth of property”, said le Grove “We are a significant segment of the residential property industry.”
Mr le Grove, together with Executive Officer Andrew King, sees his role as meeting with key politicians and other government officers, and achieving better understanding and communication over the issues facing the rental property industry.
“I have been a property investor for 14 years and I know it is now more important than ever that we work together to achieve solutions to help address the shortage of housing of a good standard.” said le Grove.
