FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
4 June 2014

Rockburn Wines - Central Otago Announces Robert Oatley Vineyards as Australian Distributor

Rockburn Wines is delighted to announce that Robert Oatley Vineyards will now distribute their wines nationally throughout Australia, effective immediately.

Robert Oatley Vineyards was set up by Robert Oatley; he is as famous for his wine as he is for sailing, with his Wild Oats series of super maxi yachts and as founder of the Rosemount wine brand.

Robert Oatley Vineyards is now a major force in the Australian wine industry and also distributes Charles Heidsdeck Champagne, with a national sales team of over 35 personnel.

Rockburn continues its phenomenal success on the international show circuit, winning a Gold Medal for its Rockburn 2012 Pinot Noir and a Trophy for its Tigermoth Riesling at the Cool Climate Wine Show last week in Australia.

‘’These results are testament to the dedication of the entire Rockburn team and the unique terroir of our vineyards in Parkburn and Gibbston” commented Rockburn General Manager Paul Donaghy.

The new distribution arrangement coincides with the release of the Rockburn 2012 Pinot Noir in Australia which has to date amassed six gold medals.
