Ballance drops fert prices again
Ballance has again reduced prices on most major plant nutrients, passing on purchasing savings to benefit shareholders
and customers.
The changes take effect today, 30 May 2014.
General Manager Sales Andrew Reid said that high global inventory levels of urea, particularly in China, and increased
international manufacturing capacity of DAP have contributed to lower pricing for both of these products with urea
dropping from $645 to $605 and DAP from $850 to $775.
International pricing for phosphate rock has also softened, resulting in a reduction in superten from $327 to $315.
Most trace elements have reduced due to cost prices falling however Boron and Magnesium Sulphate prices have increased.
Mr Reid said the co-operative would continue to monitor international market trends and ensure these are reflected in
domestic fertiliser pricing through quarterly price reviews.
