Transdev: looking forward to opportunities in Wellington
Transdev is enthusiastic to be involved in the hearings in Wellington this week investigating the draft public transport plan for the Greater Wellington region.
‘A great deal of work has been done by the Greater Wellington Regional Council and the draft plan paints a very positive and upbeat picture for the future of the capital. Transdev is happy to share its thoughts based on our extensive international experience and expertise,’ said Jonathan Metcalfe, the CEO of Transdev Australasia.
‘We welcome the opportunity to use our people, our systems, our experience and our expertise on all forms of public transport to help shape the future of Wellington’s public transport network.
‘We are proud of our record in working with partners to tackle congestion, to make cities more liveable and provide transport for commuters, tourists and those wanting to connect with others in their communities.
‘Transdev has won the trust of government and private sector partners through our commitment to safe, sustainable transport solutions and improved customer experience as well as a reputation for continuous improvement.
‘We have implemented sustainable solutions for local authorities and businesses globally for more than a century and in Australasia for more than 15 years. We look forward to using that knowledge and experience to inform Wellington’s passenger transport initiatives,’ said Mr Metcalfe.
Globally, Transdev is a world leader in the operation of passenger transport services. Operating in more than 20 countries, it has 94,000 employees worldwide, manages more than 50,000 vehicles and vessels.
