Wynyard Group software chosen by leading South East Asia Police Force
Crime fighting software will help protect borders from terrorism and organised crime
AUCKLAND, 23 May 2014 – Wynyard Group (NZX:WYN) a market leader in advanced crime analytics and risk management software has won a contract with a leading
South East Asia (SEA) national police force to help protect their country from organised crime and terrorism.
This contract is the latest in a series of targeted strategic wins for Wynyard in SEA and is in line with the company’s
plan. Wynyard’s powerful software is being used to assist a growing number of intergovernmental and national agencies in
the region investigate drug trafficking and organised crime.
Wynyard Group Managing Director, Craig Richardson, said investigators face a significant challenge when searching
through masses of digital data to see a more complete picture of a person or event of interest, and that implementing
advanced crime analytics to speed the process will deliver real benefits for front-line officers.
“The strength in Wynyard’s purpose-built technology lies in its ability rapidly connect digital data to other evidence,
cases or central intelligence holdings to uncover new evidence, suspects, victims, organised crime and terrorist
networks.
“We are delighted the agency has chosen Wynyard to help solve growing crime problems. Governments in the SEA region
already have strong and active strategies addressing organised crime and terrorism, they are increasingly embracing the
use of technology to add value to investigative processes,” said Richardson.
Wynyard is increasing its focus on securing larger government customers through deeper relationships that provide
greater expansion opportunities for their crime fighting technology.
