Rural contractors to meet in New Plymouth in June
Rural Contractors New Zealand (RCNZ) is urging members, and those interested in the rural contracting sector, to hurry
up and register for this year’s annual conference being held in New Plymouth next month.
RCNZ chief executive Roger Parton says the organisation’s annual conference is being held at New Plymouth’s Devon Hotel
from June 23-26.
“Our conference is now just four weeks away and those who have not yet registered; now is the time to do so,” he adds.
“We will be unable to hold any accommodation past the end of this month so if people want to stay at either the Devon or
Auto Lodge they need to get their registration in by the end of next week.”
Mr Parton says the conference has an agenda chock-full of interesting and pertinent issues to the rural contracting
sector along with a number of top-line speakers.
He says these speakers include outgoing Federated Farmers chief executive Conor English; ASB rural economist Nathan
Penny and Taranaki Regional Council chief executive Basil Chamberlain.
“A highlight of the week will be our field trip to Dow Agro Science for a tour of its plant and research farm,” Mr Paton
adds. “Other highlights include the annual charity auction to raise funds for St John, as well as the big finale with
our awards dinner and dance.”
