Mico Moves In
Once just down the road, now they’re moving in together! Mico Plumbing and PlaceMakers will soon be providing customers with a convenient ‘one-stop-shop’ shopping experience in Kerikeri.
PlaceMakers is looking forward to welcoming Mico Plumbing to its Mill Lane site at the end of June when Mico’s current site lease expires. For Mico customers, aside from shifting 450 metres down the road, not much else will be changing. The team will still operate under the Mico brand which will be highly visible on the building and throughout the store. Mico and PlaceMakers look forward to meeting the needs of all customers with dedicated specialist team members and a one-stop-shop approach.
PlaceMakers Chief Executive, Dean Fradgley said the decision to co-locate Mico Plumbing and PlaceMakers was one that just made sense.
“This is about making life easy for our customers. We have completed a successful Mico PlaceMakers co-location pilot project in Whitianga and Kerikeri is our second. This is an opportunity to genuinely enhance our plumbing and bathroom category under the specialist Mico banner and create a seamless customer experience across both brands.
“We’re in a position where we can share our ideas with each other and bring those to our customers too,” he said.
The Mico trade counter, plumbing product and bathroom showroom will be located within PlaceMakers Kerikeri with the plumbing trade yard just outside. The new Mico site will be fully operational from 23 June 2014.
