Australian joins Federated Farmers as a Field Officer
In a sign of what may be coming, Federated Farmers has appointed Australian migrant, Kristy McGregor, as its Field Officer covering the Federation’s Manawatu/Rangitikei, Wairarapa and Tararua provinces.
“We often hear of Kiwis going to Australia but in Kristy McGregor, we have an Australian who can see great opportunities offered by New Zealand’s Primary Industries,” says Conor English, Federated Farmers Chief Executive Officer.
“Kristy comes to us with an impressive background working in remote communities in Western Queensland.
“She has mainly worked linking people from remote towns and pastoral stations through advocacy, community projects and events.
“This is excellent preparation for helping our members to maximise their membership, while assisting non-members to see the many benefits a Feds membership holds.
“Kristy has a strong interest in the importance of agriculture to rural communities and is looking forward to hitting the road and meeting farmers, members and our staff,” Mr English concluded.
