Microsoft recognises dimension data New Zealand for private cloud solution
New Zealand, 17 April 2014 –
Dimension Data New Zealand has scooped the award for the
Management and Virtualisation Partner of the Year at the
Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards held at The Langham
Hotel in Auckland last week.
Kerry Paltridge, Account Director at Dimension Data New Zealand, says the award was in recognition of a Microsoft Private Cloud solution developed for life insurance and investment services provider Fidelity Life, which allows the business to scale and grow.
“The Microsoft Private Cloud solutions enable Fidelity to take on additional growth, improve test and development processes and support innovation through its customer facing products and solutions.
“As well as creating a virtualisation platform to consolidate legacy equipment, we orchestrated the Microsoft suite so Fidelity can use live, up-to-date copies of its production environment to better undertake the development and testing of its applications.
“Fidelity was doing this manually before, which involved a lot of time and effort. The organisation moved to Microsoft’s Private Cloud so it could save time and resources, as well as increase flexibility, allowing multiple development environments to be up and running with different development teams on the job.”
Jared Peterson, Partner Business and Development Manager at Microsoft New Zealand says, “Dimension Data's solution for Fidelity Life really does showcase the power of the Microsoft Private Cloud. The Dimension Data team has embraced Microsoft's Private Cloud solution in its entirety, providing virtualisation technology in a dynamic, scalable, and automated environment.”
Having last year received the same award from Microsoft New Zealand for a Private Cloud solution developed for leading winemaker Delegat’s Wine Estates, Paltridge adds, “This award further demonstrates our capability as a broad spectrum cloud services provider, whether it’s private, public or hybrid.”
