Ex-Tropical Cyclone Ita
Ex Tropical Cyclone Ita struck with full force on Thursday morning with blustery winds blowing sodden vegetation into lines, causing outages throughout the northern and western parts of the Auckland region.
Vector crews worked on outages in atrocious conditions right across the Auckland region, including Titirangi, Avondale, Ellerslie, Oratia, Helensville, Remuera, Stanmore Bay, Hatfields Beach, Kaipara, Oneroa, Orakei, Takanini, Dairy Flat, Mt Roskill, Coatsville, Piha, Massey, Maraetai, Northcote, Greenhithe, Birkdale, Alfriston, Totaravale, Kumeu, Onetangi, Grey Lynn, Campbells Bay, Waiatarua, Mangawhai, Oratia, Kaipara Flats, Greenhithe, Tapora, Red Beach and Snells Beach.

ELECTRICITY
Building/house fires were
reported in Glenfield, Royal Oak, Omaha, Howick and
Mangere.
Five car v pole incidents were reported during the week, in Royal Oak, Maurewa south and Manurewa central, Papakura and in Devonport.
GAS
A smell of gas was reported in Papakura during the week, with the asset being referred to supervisors.
In Northcote, a contractor struck a gas pipe. Our contractors were able to complete repairs in a timely fashion.
SHORTS
