Imarda launches its global expansion,
signing first Franchisee in South Africa.
The location based fleet-management specialists Imarda Ltd have today embarked on the global expansion phase of their i360 platform, releasing the details of their first Franchisee Partnership with Imarda SA Technologies (Pty) Ltd – formerly Telematics Tracking, in South Africa.
Imarda SA Technologies (Pty) Ltd will be an Imarda Authorised Franchisee in South Africa; with their network of dealers, resellers and agents, distributing and supporting Imarda’s software solution (i360) and hardware devices. Imarda SA Technologies bring local knowledge, vertical market expertise and an experienced sales team to support Imarda’s international growth plans in the region. As part of the Franchisee offering they now have access to a world-class technology platform (i360), continued product development by Imarda’s dedicated team and the business model and systems that support rapid customer acquisition and retention.
Selwyn Pellett, Imarda CEO, says “It has been clear to us since 2007 that the basic GPS fleet management industry (1st/2nd generation) was fragmented and would need to be consolidated. We decided to build a 4th generation platform that would be flexible enough to support the growing needs of small, medium and enterprise customers, with integrated global channel management to support our Franchisees.
We have always believed that a group of companies operating on a common technology platform would provide the necessary critical mass to sustain the heavy lifting of Research and Development, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. Equally as important is nurturing existing specialisations, to drive innovation and product-richness.”
On the South African Franchisee Pellett says, “Now that the platform and business model are ready we are very happy to announce that Paul Marais, (CEO of Telematics Tracking) and his team have become Imarda’s first Franchisee.
Originally Paul approached us looking for a hardware solution. When he saw the full capability of the i360 platform in conjunction with Imarda’s hardware and the supporting business model he immediately entered into serious discussions about a Franchisee partnership.”
