New Appointment - Heritage Auckland General Manager

Heritage Hotel Management is delighted to announce the appointment of Marcus Keenan as the new general manager of Heritage Auckland.
Marcus has been the acting resident manager at the recently reopened Heritage Christchurch this year.
He has also worked for the Heritage Hotel Management group in the past as the general manager of the Heritage Rotorua for five years.
He has a strong background in management of hotels with large conference facilities and extensive food and beverage outlets, plus, both national and international hospitality experience.
His qualifications include hospitality operational management and business studies.
He was chair of the New Zealand Hotel Council (Rotorua Region) and also a member of its National Board for several years, as well as being a board member of ITOC and Destination Rotorua.
“It’s great to be invited to helm Heritage Auckland in the building’s 100th year. I am looking forward to the celebration. Auckland city has never been so busy with so many exciting international events ahead of us too,” says Keenan.
Heritage Auckland has a wide range of well-appointed hotel rooms and self-contained suites, extensive conference facilities catering for up to 400 people and a signature restaurant, Hectors, offering innovative cuisine. The hotel’s superb recreational facilities include a recently refurbished roof top swimming pool, an indoor lap pool, two health clubs and even a tennis court on site.
The hotel’s Hobson St building turns 100 years old on 14 April and will celebrate its 100th year this winter with a series of events.
