Lewis Road Creamery appoints general manager
Lewis Road Creamery Ltd, producer of premium dairy products, has appointed Michelle Preston to the newly created position of general manager.
Michelle was previously general manager of gourmet ice-cream company Kohu Road and brings to Lewis Road more than 13 years experience working with leading food brands.
Michelle will be responsible for overseeing all facets of Lewis Road Creamery’s business from production through to sales and marketing, reporting into founder and chief executive officer Peter Cullinane. She will have a particular focus on driving new product development to extend Lewis Road’s offering down the dairy aisle.
Prior to Kohu Road, Michelle spent five years in category insights and sales analyst roles for smoothie company innocent drinks. This London-based success story began at a music festival stall and today is the UK’s number one smoothie brand, employing 250 people across 15 countries.
Peter Cullinane said Michelle’s experience working with like-minded brands and her unique skillset will be a great asset to the company he founded in 2012.
“Kohu Road and innocent drinks are both market leaders in their respective fields because they produce innovative products that use the highest quality natural ingredients,” says Peter. “So there’s certainly lots of similarities with what Lewis Road is committed to doing here in New Zealand with dairy products. “
Michelle says she is thrilled to be joining Lewis Road Creamery.
“This is an exciting company that, in less than two years, has gone from an idea being kicked around the dinner table, to a successful business with national distribution.
“Lewis Road’s range of award-winning products have changed the way many New Zealanders think about staples such as butter and milk. We’ve got lots of exciting projects on the horizon and I can’t wait to be part of those.”
Michelle’s position is effective immediately.
