Air New Zealand to sponsor Tremains Art Deco Weekend for three more years

Air New Zealand has extended its sponsorship of the Art Deco Trust’s key event, the Tremains Art Deco Weekend, for a further three years.

Air New Zealand’s Chief Executive Officer Christopher Luxon will announce the airline’s renewal of the event sponsorship at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon with local business leaders in Hastings today (Thursday 9th April 2014)

Art Deco Trust General Manager Sally Jackson says she is extremely pleased to have New Zealand’s national carrier on board as a sponsor of the Tremains Art Deco Weekend.

“The event has grown significantly over the past five years, attracting increasing numbers of international and domestic visitors into the area. We value our partnership with Air New Zealand and renewing this for a further three years makes a great deal of sense,” says Jackson.

Air New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Christopher Luxon says: “We are committed to showcasing the very best of New Zealand to the world. We have been a sponsor of the Art Deco Weekend for three years and are very proud of our association with the Trust and the event. Napier and Hastings are important destinations for Air New Zealand and we look forward to continuing our relationship and supporting an event which promotes the Hawkes Bay region to a significant audience.”

The Tremains Art Deco Weekend is a significant event on the Hawkes Bay calendar, attracting close to 40,000 people to the region each year. In February 2015, the event will celebrate its 27th anniversary.
