First “My PRTG Dashboard” Prize to Fronde

Paessler Awards First “My PRTG Dashboard” Prize to Local IT Company

Campaign recognises creative dashboards for PRTG Network Monitor

Sydney, Australia – 3 April, 2014 – Paessler AG, the innovative network monitoring solutions specialist, is showcasing the real-life deployments of its PRTG Network Monitor, announcing the first winner in the current “My PRTG Dashboard” competition. Quentin Long, Cloud Solutions Engineer at New Zealand-based Fronde takes home the honour for February – and a Google Nexus 5.

The “My PRTG Dashboard” competition is a contest to recognise the most extraordinary and creative PRTG dashboards. Open to PRTG users worldwide and judged by a Paessler jury, the campaign will award one user each month between February and April 2014 with prizes for the most interesting use-cases.

“The dashboard is the key to showing exactly what you need to know – whether you’re monitoring network performance, video feeds or weather and traffic information”, says Dirk Paessler, founder and CEO of Paessler AG. “This competition is a way to showcase the innovative and personalised ways people are using the product to easily select and display the information that’s most important to them.”

The contest’s first winner, Quentin Long uses the PRTG Dashboard to offer a visually appealing display for Fronde’s partners including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its customers. With the dashboard, Fronde ensures its customers see the AWS environment as if it was part of their local data centre. The unique design details all its customers' servers, load balancers, data feeds, and remote connectivity, with unique logins for each customer.

PRTG Network Monitor can be used in companies of any size to monitor IT equipment and network performance. In addition to conventional IT infrastructure, the monitoring solution has found its way into some very novel places such as air races, weather forecasting stations and poultry farms – as highlighted in Paessler’s “My PRTG Sensor” campaign last year.

A commercial PRTG license is not required for entry in the “My PRTG Dashboard” competition and both commercial and freeware users can enter the contest by submitting their description to:mydashboard@paessler.com. One winner will be selected each month by a Paessler judging panel and the idea shared with the PRTG community. The upcoming winners will win a SONOS PLAY:2 WiFi Sound System in March and another Google Nexus 5 in April.
