The WooHoo mobile app allows people to connect with registered tax agents NZ Tax Refunds to quickly receive all eligible tax refunds. Other apps rely on data capture and longer processing time.

“People will be able to get their ‘WooHoo’ on the go, from anywhere, at anytime on any type of smart device. It’s an evolution of our existing systems that have always been all about making access to the tax system smarter, easier and even more accessible for people to get what they are owed” says Mr Brown.
The application has undergone significant testing and security checks prior to its launch to ensure the technology was running smoothly.
Becki Lake, a recent graduate trialled the app and was impressed by how easy and intuitive it was.
“I probably wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of applying for a tax refund myself. The app took the hassle out of it. It’s a make-my-life-easy app,” said Ms Lake.
The app is free and available on all iOS and Android devices and can be downloaded free from the Apple App or Google Play Stores from 1 April. WooHoo NZ Tax Refunds app developers utilised PhoneGap to release the app across multiple platforms simultaneously.
