New Chief Executive for NCWNZ
The National Council of
Women New Zealand (NCWNZ) has appointed Sue McCabe as its
new Chief Executive.
NCWNZ President Barbara Arnold said Sue McCabe had a varied background which includes public sector leadership, senior public relations and governance positions. Sue also holds a number of voluntary roles in the wider community sector.
“Sue brings a broad range of strategic, communication and relationship management skills, and has an understanding of the workings of both the public sector and the not for profit area.”
Barbara Arnold said Sue was taking up the role at a time of continuing change within NCWNZ the community and voluntary sector, and wider society.
“We’re an organisation that has been a critical part of New Zealand for nearly 120 years, since Kate Shepherd was our founding President and have tirelessly and successfully worked towards political, economic and social equality for women.
“Sue will work with the members of NCW and the Board to make sure we’re focussed on doing the things that will have the biggest positive societal impact, in order to support and empower women.”
Sue McCabe starts on 22 April. Her Chief Executive role is a fixed term, part time position.
