The Chair of Maori Television, Georgina te Heuheu, has confirmed that the board is in the final stages of recruiting a new chief executive.

Mrs te Heuheu said there are formal processes, dictated by the State Services Commission, which have yet to be completed

“The process had been underway for several weeks, but as of today no formal offer has made to the preferred candidate,” Mrs te Heuheu said.

“Until a contract offer has been made and accepted, the board will not make any further comment

“As soon as the process is complete we will formally announce the successful candidate,” Mrs te Heuheu said.
