BNZ’s Future Hub mobilises to help Christchurch flood afflicted
BNZ is extending the services of its Future Hub earthquake recovery service to Christchurch residents affected by last
week’s flooding in support of the government’s Make it Right initiative.
BNZ Director Retail Andy Symons says, “The BNZ Future Hub team has been providing specialist help, assisting people
through each facet of the earthquake recovery process and will now be turning their skills to support those impacted by
the floods.
“The Future Hub team can assist with negotiating with insurers, getting repairs underway during the insurance settlement
process, finding alternative accommodation while repairs are undertaken, EQC settlement issues affecting mortgages,
increasing understanding of EQC settlements and payout protocols, and helping with white, green and red zone issues.
“Just as we were there for the people of Canterbury during and after the earthquakes, we stand by Christchurch today in
its time of need.”
Future Hub has brought together a team of rebuild experts in one location to assist Cantabrians through the rebuild
process. These include BNZ residential banking specialists, CERA’s Residential Advisory Service, insurance experts from
IAG, Aon and the EQC, independent legal professionals, chartered accountants and a property firm.
BNZ’s Future Hub is available to all Christchurch residents, BNZ customers or not, and is located on the corner of
Cashel Street and Fitzgerald Avenue. It is also accessible through any BNZ store nationwide via video conferencing.
