Chance for Aucklanders to Choose Favourite Community Project
Visitors to the North Shore Home & Garden Show will get the chance to vote for their favourite community project thanks to first-time exhibitor, ‘Logajob’. The Taranaki-based business has just expanded into Australia and will use the Home & Garden Show as the platform to launch nationwide in New Zealand. The Show runs Friday 21 to Sunday 23 March at the North Shore Events Centre.
The business is the brain child of Tonya Callebaut, who says “Logajob offers service businesses of all kinds a website presence from which to quote on jobs, and as part of celebrating our arrival in Auckland, we wanted to give something back to the local community by doing one ‘big job’ ourselves. Show-goers just need to visit our stand at the North Shore Home & Garden Show to vote for their favourite community project. The Logajob team, along with volunteers from local businesses on the website, will then fulfill the people’s choice.”
“There will be three options: The first with Make a Wish - where volunteers grant a wish such as building a spectacular tree house for an unwell child; a conservation project - where helpers clean up a local beach or river; or an animal welfare project - where Logajob contributes to building new shelters for homeless animals.” Mrs Callebaut said.
Home & Garden Show Director, Daniel Joll, says “We applaud exhibitors who support the community in this way and feel sure that show visitors will love the chance to have their say. Show-goers also stand to win a week’s tropical holiday for two to Niue Island and go into the draw to win $2,000 worth of Resene vouchers. With over 200 exhibitors (the majority of whom are local), they’ll get to preview designer trends, talk to industry experts face-to-face and will be spoilt for choice with the huge variety and show-only bargains.”
