A Toast to Success
Hospitality New Zealand National President Adam Cunningham and New Zealand Chefs Association National President Anita Sarginson raise a glass at the iconic White House restaurant in Wellington’s Oriental Bay to celebrate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Associations.
The Memorandum sets out an agreement to work closely together and on joint projects, including an annual food trends survey, a national series of training seminars and on local events around the country. This will build opportunities for the members of both Associations said Mr Cunningham. “We are delighted that our members will have access to some of the best chefs in the country to help add to the customer experience and bottom line”.
The first joint project will be launched in April. This will be a kitchen management seminar series run by the Chefs Association and aimed at up-skilling managers, chefs and cooks in the art of menu engineering and cost management. “Our members are committed to growing the professionalism of the hospitality industry and this partnership gives us a great opportunity to do so” said Ms Sarginson.
