House of Travel launches leading Travel App for IPhone and Android

Smartphones become the new way to holiday

House of Travel customers will now be able to have instant access on their smart phones to all their travel related documents including booking local attractions and flights on the go, with the launch of the company’s new travel app for both Iphone and Android.

Available now through both Google Play and the App store, the HOT Travel App is free for download straight to the smartphone desktop. The App has been designed to upload a customer’s full itinerary which users can then countdown to their holiday, provide access to all the vital booking references and check-in documents as well as offer a one stop shop to create and share holiday photos with friends.

Additional exciting features include guidebooks of your destinations, GPS and map services as well as securely storing your important documentson the smart phone.

House of Travel head of strategy Niall White says they wanted to be able to offer customers a level of support that reflects the company’s digital thinking while taking full advantage of how kiwis have embraced their phones for everyday activities.

“This is a significant breakthrough in making our customers travel experience more enjoyable and offering them a practical digital tool to go on holiday with.

The HOT travel app allows our customers to have an electronic version of their itinerary to travel with so that all their information is stored on the customers smart phone. This means it is accessible at the touch of a finger, as well as providing customers the ability to access local guides and find things to do while already on the road” he said.

The App is free to download and available for anyone who is booking travel with House of Travel within New Zealand or on hot.co.nz

House of Travel is already in development of future releases of the app which will offer even more exciting options and expect to be launching these in phases throughout the coming months.

House of Travel has been leading the way with online technology in New Zealanders travel since 2004 when the launch of hot.co.nz first allowed Kiwis to find and compare all airline flights in one easy place to best suit their needs.
