Kiwis #MakeHistory as First in the World to Launch Jim Beam’s Latest Brand Campaign
Auckland, 10th February 2014 - New Zealanders were the first in the world to get a glimpse of Jim Beam’s® first integrated global advertising campaign which launched on Sunday night.
Better still, much of the content from the feature TVC that aired on Sunday was shot, edited and produced right here in our backyard.
The “Make History” campaign is a call to action for fans across the globe to join in and make history of their own as well as a celebration of the brand’s 219 years of making history as the world’s number one bourbon.
The call to get on board is sweetened by global megastar, Mila Kunis who has joined the Jim Beam® family as a global partner and spokesperson and will play a leading role in the “Make History” campaign.
In a recent interview about her partnership with Jim Beam®, Kunis said: “As a fan of bourbon and a huge proponent of making history, I am thrilled to be the newest member of the Jim Beam family.”
Kirsty Band Jim Beam New Zealand Brand Manager says our efforts and attention to date have been focused on our long-standing heritage, crafting the best bourbon and maintaining our position as the World’s No. 1 Bourbon.
“Our new campaign is about taking the next step in our own history and inspiring bourbon lovers to make their own history and create their own great stories that they will share with friends and family through the years,” says Band.
“Jim Beam is all about experience and creating moments that people will remember. We want to know how Kiwi's will be making history this year and encourage them to do it with us.
“We’re also going to be bringing the ethos to life at Homegrown in Wellington on February 15thso keep an eye out for some history-making in the Capital,” she adds.
“Make History” will be a 360-degree global marketing campaign spanning TV, radio, digital, social and PR with full above-the-line and below-the-line activations.
Three new TVCs will screen around the world in the coming weeks with various markets screening mixtures of the three. Much of the footage for the TVCs was filmed in New Zealand, with the exception of the Mila Kunis content and the Rackhouse content which was filmed in the US.
The TVCs include: Mila taking a journey through the history of Jim Beam from 1795 through the modern day; Mila in the Beam rackhouses, personally branding barrels and discussing the time and craftsmanship that goes into making each barrel of Jim Beam® Bourbon and featuring Jim Beam Honey® with Mila in the rackhouse amongst some hibernating grizzly bears.
