Consultant Michael Bywell joins Minter Ellison Rudd Watts and strengthens TMT offering
Minter Ellison Rudd Watts continues to strengthen its TMT offering, welcoming Michael Bywell to the firm as a consultant.
Michael is particularly strong in the IT area having acted on some of the World’s largest IT and outsourcing programmes over the past 20 years (in the UK, Australia and New Zealand). He has experience and expertise which is rare in the New Zealand and Australian markets.
Michael’s other experience includes advisory and dispute resolution work across a range of practice areas and sectors including arbitration, construction, energy and natural resources, international public law, IP, mediation, pharmaceuticals and telecoms.
Michael returns to New Zealand having worked overseas for many years most recently as a Partner in a leading Australian law firm.
In announcing the appointment Cathy Quinn, Chair, said: “Michael’s appointment further strengthens our highly successful TMT team. His international experience in the IT sector will provide our clients with access to the very best advice in an ever growing and complex sector.”
