New appointment at Grant Thornton

National Managing Partner appointed to lead business growth Auckland advisory services partner Tim Downes has been elected National Managing Partner of Grant Thornton New Zealand with effect from 1 January 2014.

Tim has been a partner with the firm since 2008 and is regularly involved with a diverse range of businesses. He is particularly experienced in assisting owner-managed enterprises through development and transformation periods.

Tim’s business advisory experience includes strategy development and iplementation, commercial litigation support services and sourcing equity capital for private companies.

Before joining Grant Thornton, Tim was a partner for a “Big Four” international
accounting firm for 17 years and also established and managed his own corporate finance and consultancy business over a four year period.
