InternetNZ 2014 by-election result announced
InternetNZ (Internet New Zealand Inc) is pleased to announce the official result in the recent InternetNZ Council by-election to replace Nat Torkington.
After seven people were nominated, voting took place between January 16 and January 30 2014. Following official scrutinising of the results InternetNZ is delighted to announce that Rochelle Furneaux has been elected to serve a 6-month term (ending at the AGM in July 2014).
InternetNZ President Frank March said he was looking forward to working with Rochelle who is an excellent candidate.
“Rochelle’s been an IP, technology and privacy lawyer for over two decades. Her CV reads like a template for excellent participation in the IT sector in New Zealand and I’m sure she’ll make a wonderful addition to our team."
Rochelle will be taking part in her first meeting with the council in early February.
