CityLink boosts the capital’s data security solutions
CityLink today announced it was expanding data centre capacity and services for businesses located in Wellington’s
central business district.
“Being able to quickly and easily store and retrieve data is important for all businesses,” CityLink’s chief executive
Nick Willis says.
“As businesses in Wellington’s CBD grow, so does their demand for ‘always on’ data and systems. That is a major reason
why CityLink has recently expanded its co-location capacity at Lambton House on Lambton Quay.
“Businesses that rely on their own computer servers are of particular interest to us. As businesses like these grow they
don’t always think about the risks of having all of their data in servers in their own building, sometimes until it’s
too late, be it power failures, theft, fire, civil or local emergencies. Robust offsite data equipment and server
co-location should be valued as a ‘must have’,” he says.
