ANZ FastPay spells early Christmas for businesses
Christmas has come early for many businesses with the launch today of ANZ FastPay, a convenient solution allowing
merchants to process payments using their iPhone or Android smartphone.
With ANZ FastPay firms can complete Visa and MasterCard credit and debit card transactions any time, anywhere.
Business owners can download the free app and give FastPay a go for any period of time without being locked into a
long-term contract. Rates are highly competitive, with no setup fee and a low monthly merchant fee of 3% per transaction
(minimum $15 per month).
ANZ’s Managing Director, Retail and Business Banking, Fred Ohlsson said: “ANZ FastPay has been keenly anticipated by our
business customers. Businesses want to spend their time making money, not chasing payment. We’re delighted we can now
offer them this simple and highly-competitive solution enabling them to get paid on the job.
“This app is a real game changer which will make getting paid quicker and easier for a wide range of businesses, from
plumbers and builders to mobile dog groomers. No longer will they have to chase up unpaid invoices when they can take
payments on the run.

FastPay follows a number of other successful ANZ mobile apps. In April 2011 ANZ goMoney was launched in New Zealand and
within hours became the number one most popular Finance app on iTunes in New Zealand. ANZ recently launched a new
goMoney mobile banking app which incorporates several new features suggested by customers.
Over the past year ANZ has also launched Transactive Mobile apps for Android and iPhone devices, allowing commercial
customers to remotely monitor real-time account balances, view transactions, approve and release payments and obtain
dynamic FX rates.
