Air Tahiti Nui’s Third Weekly Service Takes Off
Air Tahiti Nui’s new Tuesday service has taken off, marking the start of increased year-round flights between Auckland and three of the world’s most sought-after destinations – Papeete, Los Angeles and Paris.
The new Tuesday afternoon Auckland to Papeete service compliments the airline’s existing Thursday and Sunday flights and brings the total weekly Tahiti services to five, including two codeshare flights with Air New Zealand.
New Zealanders also have improved access to Los Angeles via Papeete with three weekly flights now operating in both directions and a swift same-flight transit of about two hours each way.
Air Tahiti Nui General Manager New Zealand Australia Mark Hutchinson said the additional flight made Tahiti a more attractive stopover en route to the US and also opened up more flexible itinerary options for Tahiti holidaymakers.
“We’re looking forward to the new year, when our enhanced global network really comes into play and with increased and better connections to Tahiti, the USA and Paris, we are gearing up for a big year in New Zealand,” Mr Hutchinson said.
Fly return in economy from Auckland to Papeete from $1030*, return to Los Angeles starting from $1710* and return to Paris from $2590*.
The airline is undergoing a fleet-wide cabin redesign to include more comfortable seats and a new inflight entertainment system which delivers tablet-quality viewing, with the final aircraft due to be completed by mid-2014.
