GrabOne Delivers a Merry Christmas to Extraordinary Kiwi Families

Thirteen special Kiwi families will experience the magic of Christmas this week as they each receive a festive delivery brimming with gifts from GrabOne to help make their festive season sparkle.

The GrabOne secret Santa project commenced in late October when Kiwis were invited to nominate families from around New Zealand who they believed deserved an extra special Christmas. One family from each of the 13 regions GrabOne operates in was picked from more than 800 nominations received nationwide.

The GrabOne sales team is busy making surprise deliveries to each of these families in time for Christmas, with help from the kind ‘elves’ who nominated them.

Some of the heart-warming nominations include a family that runs voluntary life skills courses for young men, a young solo mum who has gone back to university to create a better future for her family, and the family of an incredibly generous man who fundraises on behalf of others while fighting his own battle with cancer.

The 13 families were selected by the GrabOne team. Each will receive $150 worth of supermarket vouchers and a further $150 worth of vouchers from The Warehouse, donated by GrabOne. They’ll also get a box of gifts for the whole family supplied from a selection of GrabOne’s valued merchants - including 3 Buckets Full, Farza Wholesale, Glengarry, Innovative Imports, Nelson Naturally, Octane Trading and some generous GrabOne staff members.

GrabOne Marketing Director, James Kemp, says; “We were touched by how many Kiwis wrote to tell us about the goodwill, kindness and generosity of others in their family or community, despite the adversity many have faced this year.

“We realise that for one reason or another, Christmas can be a stressful time. Our business model helps people save money every day and we created the GrabOne Secret Santa project to enable us to give back to our customers and bring some Christmas cheer to deserving Kiwi families.

”We thank everyone who kindly nominated a family and wish all our customers a very happy and safe Christmas.”
