Plantier Developments Acquires Carol Priest Natural Cosmetics
Plantier Developments, the company behind burgeoning organic skincare brand, Plantæ Certified Organic Skincare, has
today announced it has acquired full ownership of Carol Priest Natural Cosmetics.
Managing Director and Formulator of Plantier Developments, Carol Priest, says the takeover will unveil a multitude of
opportunities for both brands.
“Plantæ and Carol Priest Natural Cosmetics are complementary brands so it made good business sense to acquire full
ownership of both companies to align our business development strategies and further our breadth of capabilities,” says
Priest.
Founded in 2012, Plantæ Certified Organic Skincare has grown exponentially, and is now available at 58 stockists
nationwide, through distribution companies in Europe, Canada, Australia and Korea, and via the e-commerce website.
Priest says the rapid growth of Plantæ is due to the calibre and reputation of the product, and she expects the trend to
continue with the takeover of Carol Priest Natural Cosmetics.
“We have been blown away by the popularity and response to the Plantæ products, including our recently released Rosehip
Regenerative Facial Serum, which has become an overnight sensation due to its potency, utilising the entire rosehip
fruit, and the high quality of the certified organic ingredients used in the formulation of the product.
Carol Priest Natural Cosmetics has a strong presence in Asian markets, which is where we will continue to expand the
brand in addition to targeting exclusive distribution in New Zealand-based day spas and salons, whereas Plantæ is
marketed through health stores and pharmacy chains both nationally and abroad.”
Carol Priest Natural Cosmetics retail concept store on Hardy Street in Nelson will remain open to the Nelson public.
Ends.
