And The Award Goes To………Lane Neave
South Island law firm Lane Neave has won the 2013 Insurance Law Award in the ninth annual New Zealand Law Awards.
Lane Neave was identified as providing excellence in client service, possessing specialist expertise in advising across a broad range of insurance law issues.
With offices in Christchurch and Queenstown, the law firm currently has a team of seven working solely on insurance
cases. Partner, Dr Duncan Webb says it is wonderful Christmas present for everyone who works incredibly hard at Lane
Neave.
“We are honoured to have been nominated in a group of highly respected and exceptional legal practitioners, and would
like to acknowledge them in accepting this award,” he said.
To celebrate the recognition, and to help those still struggling with their insurance claims, for the rest of this year
Lane Neave has today announced that it will provide a free, no obligation thirty minute consultation with an insurance
lawyer.
“There are still so many struggling,” says Dr Webb “And if a 30 minute consultation will resolve or help provide some
clarity for people, we are happy to do that.”
Webb says the aim of the consultation would be to identify the main issues the claimant is facing, Lane Neave will
provide the claimant with advice on their legal position, discuss the possible practical solutions, and give some
pointers as to the best strategy and the next steps a claimant might take in progressing their claim.

Nominee finalists in the 2013 NZ Law Awards were Cavell Leitch Law, DLA Phillips Fox, Duncan Cotterill, Jones Fee and
Lane Neave. Lane Neave won the award on the basis of feedback from clients for whom the firm has acted, including owners
