Leighton Kearins – the Auckland risk insurance adviser New Zealanders need to meet with
A CARING nature, making sure clients are receiving sound advice and a drive to ensure his clients receive ongoing service.
These are the things Auckland-based insurance adviser Leighton Kearins believes sets him apart from others in his industry and why people should do business with him.
It has been his approach since he joined the One50group as an independent insurance adviser in mid-2012.
Anyone who meets with Mr Kearins can be assured they are receiving the best possible advice.
That's because he will nd out what parts of their life are important to them, so together they can nd the insurance type which suits them best.
“I think education is the biggest part of what I do,” says Mr Kearins.
“We can offer a really good range of products and information so people can make an educated decision.
“Every situation is different and it should be treated that way. What’s right for one person might not necessarily be right for another.”
Another thing which Mr Kearins feels is his point of difference compared to others in the risk insurance game is his compassion.
He knows full well what it is like to lose loved ones in unforeseen circumstances.
“I want to make sure people have the right insurance in place but, more importantly, that it ts in with their lifestyle,” says Mr Kearins.
“People’s insurance is only going to be as good as the information they provide working it out together is the key.”
Being young and coming for the service industry is also something Mr Kearins feels gives him an edge over other insurance advisers – many of whom are much older.
For starters, it means he is driven, motivated to succeed and will go the extra mile to ensure his clients receive the best possible advice and insurance for them.
“Recently I dealt with a couple of clients who had to have a year-long wait on their income protection insurance, which was completely and utterly useless to them because nancially they wouldn’t have been unable to survive without income for a year.
“By sitting down and talking about what was important to them, I was able to show them a range of products which covered their income in the short and long term.”
So the next time you are looking at getting risk insurance – be it medical, health, disability, income protection, life or business insurance – you must talk to Leighton Kearins.
He’ll see you right.
