INZBC welcomes Renewed Tourism Partnership

INZBC welcomes Renewed Tourism Partnership

The India New Zealand Business Council (INZBC) has welcomed the renewal of an existing partnership between Singapore Airlines and Tourism New Zealand.

“Singapore Airlines offers a number of connections over its Singapore hub from India.  With an increasing flow of tourists from India, this partnership will help grow additional Indian arrivals, coming here for honeymoon, upcoming cricket tours, the world cup and adventure activities”, says Matthew Findlay – INZBC Spokesman for the Aviation and Tourism sector.

“The familiarisation tours planned by both the parties will also help increase New Zealand’s awareness within the untapped Indian domestic market”, says the Chairman of INZBC Sunil Kaushal.

Over 30,000 Indian tourists travelled to New Zealand each year with an average length of stay of nearly 13 days. Their travel preference to visit New Zealand is typically during the Indian Spring/Summer months – April to June, making the Indian market lucrative to the autumn season market in New Zealand.
