PRESS RELEASE
Senior Executive Awarded Santa Ambassadorship For NZ 2013
The Santa Ambassador for New Zealand 2013 has recently appeared on You Tube courtesy of Business and Community Shares (BACS).
When the call went out from BACS earlier in the year, it was to senior executives whose companies were committed to corporate social responsibility who were invited to apply for the prestigious role.
Paul Walsh; General Manager for The Warehouse Group Community and Environment was specially selected for the highly sought after role for this years Santa Ambassador.
TV personality Jose Barbosa formerly of TV3 whose interviews have included the likes of Kim Dotcom was able to bring in extra humour and keep control of too many Ho-Ho-Ho’s when necessary as well as manage the number of Warehouse elves on set.
Criteria for the Santa Ambassador role included the ability to Ho, Ho, Ho in a merry manner and be committed to the festive time and to encourage businesses to use the list which had been specially compiled through BACS to ensure NZ communities got what they really needed.
Julie Donvin-Irons; Founder of BACS said “what surprised us last year was that most organisations asked for modest gifts, hardly anything that would hurt a business budget and some asked for second hand items like used phones or IT.”
We were able to connect a good number of gifts and had offers from businesses that we could put to good use to as well. We encourage any business to contact us as we have a superb list from our community organisations for this year.”
BACS is a hub of sharing skills, tools and
resources between business and community in New
Zealand.
