ADInstruments Make Five-Year League in Best Workplace Awards
DUNEDIN, New Zealand, Nov. 4, 2013
Dunedin based ADInstruments have been inducted into the prestigious Kenexa Best Workplaces Awards Five-Year League. The League recognises the achievements of organisations that consistently rank as New Zealand’s Best Workplaces for at least five years.
Each year the Kenexa
Best Workplaces Survey reveals the top organisations to work
for in New Zealand, as voted by their staff. Last year over
289 organisations participated in the
survey.
ADInstruments produce data acquisition equipment
that is used in medical research and education. The company
employs over 200 staff in 11 locations around the world and
is managed from their headquarters in Dunedin’s heritage
precinct.
ADInstruments join companies such as MARS New Zealand, the Automobile Association and Overland as member of the league. The accolade is testament to the unique culture the company fosters. Global HR Manager Kelly Macknight is delighted with the award.
“Being inducted in the Five-Year League demonstrates that we are consistently providing a great place to work. The award is based on staff comments and feedback, which is a pat on the back for the management team.”
Staff at ADInstruments talk about a culture of empowering people to achieve, and of high expectations and clearly defined roles.
Application Support Manager, Chris Wright has been with the company for six years. He started in the Dunedin office when there were 27 staff, now there are 65.
“Doubling the size of the business in five years has been pretty amazing and the culture has grown a lot in that time. Our team has done a lot of cool stuff and has achieved really good things for the company, which makes the team feel good.”
When asked about the most common response from the survey, Macknight says it’s always about the people.
“Staff always talk about their co-workers and how they enjoy working alongside the team here. They value the support provided by people that are always willing to help. There’s always a great deal of support between colleagues.”
