Airport celebrates prestigious Australasian website awards
Auckland Airport is celebrating its success at the 2013 Sitecore Site of the Year Awards, winning the Business Transformation Award and the People’s Choice Award.
Richard Barker, Auckland Airport’s general manager retail and commercial, says Sitecore is the global leader in customer experience management software and its Australian and New Zealand awards recognise trans-Tasman excellence in the delivery of effective, meaningful digital experiences.
“Auckland Airport has been very focused on improving the online experience for its travellers and customers, while also developing an online tool which helps retailers to market their products. As a result we have transformed our retail website from what was very much a directory listing into a visually engaging, product based, retail experience.”
“We are also committed to supporting the more than 70 retailers which operate over 100 shops at the airport. Since our retail website improvements were introduced in May 2013, they have helped drive retailers’ business performance and improve their revenue growth – delivering almost 25,000 customer referrals from the website and even more calls and emails. The new retail website also attracted a 400% increase in site visitors.”
“We want to acknowledge the assistance of Bullseye Digital and Datacom New Zealand which helped us to deliver the new retail website.”
“We are delighted to win these two Sitecore Site of the Year Awards which have confirmed Auckland Airport as a premier shopping destination,” says Mr Barker.
