Shake up for Home Shopping as Yesshop Launches
Korean style home shopping comes to New Zealand
Auckland, 04 November 2013 – Kiwi shoppers are set to experience home shopping in a new and creative way unmatched in New Zealand, with the launch of Yesshop, a brand new home shopping channel and e-commerce outlet modelled on the world’s biggest* and most vibrant home shopping market, South Korea.
Following a complete studio re-build of its Mount Eden premises, the channel will launch on Monday 4 November at 10am, and promises a three-pronged point of difference; quality production, a unique international product range and the sharpest price value in the market.
Featured launch brands include:
• Dereon, the Beyonce range of fashion and bags
• Swiss Military Luggage and Swiss Military Camping
• The Lock & Lock storage range
• E10, high performance sports clothing
• Ceracoal kitchenware
• Hurom Smart Juicer, the global No1 slow juicing appliance
• Sweden Egg Pack, unique egg white soap, appointed by the Swedish Royal Family
All are brands currently unavailable in New Zealand until now.
The vision of New Zealand born businessman Paul Ding, KD Media Inc (parent of Yesshop and KOSDAQ listed) has assembled a team of local and international experts, led by CEO Alistair Duff (formerly of the Shopping Channel and TVNZ). Duff is supported by senior management with many years’ experience in the Korean home shopping market and connections with South Korean manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, international suppliers, and the six Korean home shopping channels.
Paul Ding says that today’s launch is the realisation of a dream and the culmination of many months of hard work by his team.

Central to the strategy of the new network are strong ties to the South Korean home shopping sector and the country’s manufacturers. One Korean home shopping partner of Yesshop provides a supply of over 300, 000 products.
Establishing these key relationships is instrumental in sourcing innovative and market leading products across a wide range of categories including homewares, fashion, electronics, cosmetics, beauty, and more.

Alistair Duff, CEO of Yesshop says that the Boston Road studio provides an expansive space.
“It’s one of the bigger studios in the country, with four permanent sets, allowing merchandising and production demonstrations to be captured in the best possible environment.”
The presenting team has been chosen based on their experience within the mediums of television, radio and trade shows, ensuring a high calibre performance to match the quality products promoted.
Presenters include:
• Marnie Oberer – Nutritionist, Athlete, Eating Well Presenter
• Petra Rijnbeek – 20 years in the beauty industry. Was editor at M2 Women Magazine. Professional Jazz, Blues & Soul singer, ex presenter on TSC\
• Tracey Donaldson – Presenter for Motorsports Shows, Radio Announcer The Rock FM and various overseas radio stations
• Mike Puru – Radio DJ on The Edge, former presenter on The Shopping Channel
• Richard Lambert – 10 years in the travel industry.
• Seung Jay Lee – Has been working in trade shows over NZ for past four years.
• Karen Teague – Presenter on Horsing Around, and Horse of the Year on Country 99. Former presenter on Good Morning.
Yesshop will broadcast on channel 23 on the Sky platform and channel 21 on Freeview.
