The Langham leads the way again
Auckland, November 4, 2013 - “Too much food, too much wine, too much fun but too much is never enough at The Langham,” said one happy hotel guest recently.
Auckland-based guests Mrs Dianne Harvey and her husband Robert have stayed at the luxury hotel so often they now call it “home.”
And in doing so they’ve set a new Langham record.
On October 25, the couple celebrated their 25th consecutive weekend stay at The Langham Auckland (with the exception of two weekends spent in The Langham Melbourne and one in The Langham Sydney) – as well as their 25th wedding anniversary. They are also booked in to stay this weekend and the one after that.
“Who needs to travel the world – we do each time we stay at The Langham. From budget to billionaire everyone in the hotel is a VIP including staff,” says Mrs Harvey.
So it came as no surprise to these loyal guests that The Langham Auckland has again been named New Zealand’s Leading Hotel for the fourth year in a row at this year’s World Travel Awards (WTA). These Awards, held in Dubai in October, recognise the companies, organisations and brands that deliver product and service excellence.
The prestigious five-star hotel also won the 2013 HM Award for being New Zealand’s Best Hotel in September.
Well-known for its legendary hospitality, The Langham Auckland attracts guests from around the world time and time again. Guests are enchanted by the hotel’s timeless and traditional elegance in every one of its 409 rooms, exceptional level of service and opulent offerings.
Treasured memories are created every day in the luxurious lobby bar, elegant Eight restaurant and Chuan Spa haven.
The Winery is the heart of the hotel and the perfect meeting place to sit back and relax with your favourite drink or savour the exquisite Tiffin Afternoon Tea served daily. Eight restaurant houses eight delicious kitchens with which guests can create their own personal degustation. From succulent seafood to spicy curries and juicy steaks, the possibilities are infinite – and it’s all up to the guest.
Many leave the hustle and bustle behind them when they enter the haven of Oriental serenity that is Chuan Spa. Providing individual and dual treatment services, a heated outdoor pool and Jacuzzi combined with saunas, herbal steam rooms and snail showers; the Chuan Spa offers a holistic and luxurious Spa experience.
The Langham Auckland’s managing director Franz Mascarenhas says he is “delighted” with the accolades the hotel continues to receive. “It’s wonderful for our passionate and dedicated staff to receive this well-deserved recognition for bringing true five-star luxury to New Zealand.”
