MANZ supports the AA’s Good Old Kiwi Holiday campaign
As all Kiwis know, we live in the best country in the world. That’s why the Motel Association of New Zealand (MANZ) is backing the AA’s Good Old Kiwi Holiday campaign to see more of Godzone.
The AA campaign highlights the fact that tourism in New Zealand is not all about visitors from overseas, and as Kiwis we can do our bit to ensure that this vital sector of our economy remains strong, MANZ Chief Executive Michael Baines says.
“Domestic tourism accounts for around two-thirds of the guest nights in motels, so we’re pleased the AA is highlighting the benefits of taking a Kiwi holiday, and the importance of domestic tourism to our economy,” Mr Baines says.
Like many small businesses within the tourism sector, the majority of MANZ motels are owner-operators, so the money they make stays within New Zealand and within their local communities.
“Taking a Good Old Kiwi Holiday means you can support New Zealand jobs and businesses across the country,” Mr Baines says.
“New Zealand has it all – from the mountains to the beaches, and from the cities to the wide open spaces. There are so many amazing parts of our great country to explore, so why not get out and have a Good Old Kiwi Holiday this summer.”
