ProCare appoints new CFO

ProCare Health Chief Executive Steve Boomert today announced the appointment of Liam Sheridan as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer.

Sheridan has many years’ experience in the health sector. His previous position was as General Manager, Revenue and Business Development for Counties Manukau DHB where he was responsible for revenue functions, financial support for the Director of Hospital Services and management of outsourced surgical and other clinical contracts.

He has also worked for the Auckland DHB as Deputy CFO, Lion Nathan, South Auckland Health and the Northern Regional Health Authority. He is a chartered accountant and has lectured at Unitec for two years, teaching an internal audit paper for the National Certificate in Business. While at Counties Manukau DHB Sheridan also developed the financial component for several leadership and project management programmes.

Boomert says he is delighted Liam has chosen to join ProCare: ‘He has superb skills in financial management and analytics. He clearly has a values-based approach to work and a proven ability for solving difficult issues through creating and applying innovative techniques. His broad health experience will be invaluable in helping ProCare build more collaborative relationships with funders and other stakeholders.’

Sheridan will take up his new role mid-November.
