Heritage Christchurch - Opening Special
Heritage Christchurch, set in the Cathedral Square’s Old Government Building (OGB), has been formally reopened and guests are returning through its elegant doors.
The luxurious hotel again offers beautifully appointed one and two bedroom suites and, unique to the city's CBD, a fully equipped health club with lap pool, sauna and Jacuzzi on site.
The hotel has an opening special of $235 GST incl. for a one bedroom suite and $335 GST incl. for a two bedroom suite per night, including 500 MB of in-room WiFi. (Offer valid until 3 November and subject to availability). For bookings visit www.heritagehotels.co.nz/christchurch
Designed by founding Christchurch architect, Joseph Clarkson Maddison, the building has been described of ‘monumental’ significance to the city's heritage and is registered as a category one building on the Historic Places Trust register. The OGB building was also awarded the Christchurch Heritage Trust Built Heritage Award in 2010 and the New Zealand Seismic Award 2012 in the Canterbury Heritage awards. Sequestered behind the red zone cordon for two and a half years, the building has recently emerged after a loving restoration.
